Latest Updates from Our Project:

Two New Breakthroughs
about 3 years ago – Thu, Feb 18, 2021 at 12:40:07 PM

Thank YOU! This is by far the fastest we've ever reached 204 backers in a campaign. Two new rewards were unlocked when we crossed $7,000 and 200 backers.

For crossing $7000, Bloom #1 now includes a Regina interior pinup by Eder Messias, inked by Chis Arieswendha, colored by me.

And it's time to announce that Eder Messias, Chis Arieswendha, and I also teamed up for the Bloom #1 Metal Cover at the GURU Level. It's a virgin variant, signed and numbered; and only 15 will be produced.

And for crossing 200 Bloom backers all of you will receive NOOK PDF by my local comic book creating colleague Caleb Thusat.

NOOK: Fleeing the oppression of WWII Germany, Avery and her parents move to  a remote town on the border of France. It is here she finds her new  best friend, a cat named Nook. But, there is more to this cat than it seems. Avery is swept up into a deadly cycle of violence, and she will come  to both fear and love her fuzzy new friend as the dark and twisted  history of her new home is revealed.

FLYTRAP

Caleb also has a campaign going right now that is a Back to the Future meets the Terminator trapped in the Twilight Zone vibe. In the near future an eccentric tech genius  creates a teleportation device and unlocks the mysteries of time  travel. He's immediately confronted by his  future self and drawn into a quest to save the world by destroying his inspiration for the invention, the 1986 remake of "The Fly." Be Afraid... Be Very Afraid.

I'll be sending instant digital rewards later today, so give both Nook and Deadskins a read then check out their current campaigns.

Stretch Reward #1!
about 3 years ago – Sat, Feb 13, 2021 at 10:34:35 AM

Thanks so much for backing Bloom - The Origin of a Prophet. We just received a great review from Critical Blast. "A sexy, groovetastic tale, fraught with the tension of slow-burn horror."

Stretch Goal #1 [Unlocked] Holy Waters (song MP3) by Captain Future

In creating the Hero Tomorrow movie soundtrack I came to know some incredible musical acts from all over the world. One of my faves is The Future Shape of Sound. I asked founder Alex McGowan if he happened to have anything trippy for our beloved Bloom backers, and it turns out he just finished this solo album under the name of Captain Future. At campaign's completion all backers will receive the Holy Waters mp3 of this amazing track from his new album Ghostman! Check out that video!

"Ghostman" is Captain Future’s debut solo album which has been brewing away in a cauldron in his dimly lit smoky kitchen for a while. Usually, record producer Alex McGowan is immersed in his London studio Space Eko East, recording Roots and Rock’n’Roll acts such as The Urban Voodoo Machine, Paul-Ronney Angel, Jim Jones & The Righteous Mind, Sister Cookie and countless others, while dedicating the rest of his time to his 9-piece Soul Gospel band The Future Shape Of Sound, who have gained some notoriety on the UK scene in recent years delivering their energetic colourful live shows to festivals and venues all over the country. But when normality was canceled during 2020, and with it all festivals, gigs and studio congregations, there was suddenly an opportunity to turn up the heat on completing an album that had been “almost finished” for too long.

In contrast to the upbeat gospel sounds of TFSOS, ‘Ghostman’ offers a collection of songs that show a different, more personal side. Downtempo dubby blues, juxtaposed with escapist trip hop style beats, elements which are all very familiar in Alex’ previous collaborations with Martina Topley Bird, Tricky, Jah Wobble, The Starseeds. Being a multi-instrumentalist, the Captain plays most instruments on this album himself including backing and lead vocals, ghostly delivering surreal, flow-of-consciousness lyrics. But even with a solo album Alex can’t seem to resist inviting brothers & sisters to jam on tunes, preferably at an after party back at the studio, as he loves capturing the magic of unplanned recordings. As a result ‘Ghostman’ also features some guests such as Nuwella Love, the first ever singer in The Future Shape Of Sound, Future Sister Chezelle Wilson-Williams, long-time friend and client Son Of Dave, 1960s legend Earl Okin, Maff Scott (The Egg), visual artist Tina Ngondo on BVs, singer Bearte and other contributing friends.

This is a chilled out, after hours album! Sit back, dim the lights, choose your poison and let it be the soundtrack to your escape.

This one ends in 24 hours! Mia Raven: The thief who became a detective who became a thief, only this time she steals from crooks.
